A New Year
My winter break was great, because I got to spend more time with my family. Christmas Eve, I spent it at home with part of my family, and helped my mom make tamales. On Christmas Day, we opened presents, and when we were done with opening all of them, we had breakfast all together as a family should. On New Year’s Eve, my mom made pozole, and my brother, sisters, and sister-in-law and I, played some games until it was midnight, where we then spent a few minutes wishing each other a happy new year.
What I love the most about this semester is that I got to finish one of the classes that I am behind in. One other thing that I like all together, is that we have a PLT at the end of the day, so that I can finish any class that I am behind pace in. There are no regrets for me in this first semester that I have, but I do regret not finishing classes from past years, because now I am behind in some classes that I had before, but am not enrolled in now.
It has in a way, because not only am I going to graduate, but I still need much more work that needs to be done before the first semester ends. Although, if I don’t finish what I need, I might not be graduating with my class. I also still need to complete the other classes that I am not enrolled in, and didn’t finish. The last semester of school, I am going to work extra hard to complete what I haven’t finished the first semester, and the work that I get the last semester.
One of the things that I still need to accomplish, is Biology B, but that’s something I need to work on independently. I also need to finish some work for English 11, but I don’t think it’s much work for me to worry about. I also need to finish a couple of other classes from past years, for example, there are only a few quizzes from the second semester that I need to take to finish that class. There are two more classes that I am behind in, but those I am not worrying to much about, because that I know of, I have almost completed them.
I am planning on going to college, so I am applying, but so far I have only applied at College of the Sequoias. I am planning to apply somewhere else, but right now I am focusing on just finishing this semester. I would really like to get into College of the Sequoias, because my pathway choice is Registered Nursing, and COS has that option. Overall, there are still more schools that I want to look at, so I do plan on applying to more colleges, but right now College of the Sequoias is my top option of colleges. COS also has other options in the nursing field, so right now I am just looking for a career in nursing.
